This course was an elective taught to students studying in the Department of Computer Science at UCC for an M.Sc. in
Interactive Media. It was taught only once (2007-2008). I delivered 6.5 of the lectures; my colleague
Adrian O'Riordan delivered 2.5 lectures; a guest lecturer, Prof. Barry Smyth, delivered
1 lecture.
Workload
Lectures: 10*2 hr lectures
Practicals: 5*1 hr practicals
Private study: At least 3 hours of private study per week
Prerequisites
Some PHP programming.
Assessment
A 1.5 hr closed paper worth 60 marks. A small research project worth 40 marks.
