Xiuchao Wu is now working in University College Cork as a post-doc researcher under the guidance of Prof. Cormac J. Sreenan and Dr. Kenneth N. Brown. He received B.E. degree from University of Science and Technology of China in 1999, M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from National University of Singapore in 2004 and 2010, respectively, all in Computer Science. His Ph.D. advisors are Prof. A.L. Ananda and Prof. Mun Choon Chan.

Current topics include wireless sensor network (such as opportunistic data collection, etc.) and optical&wireless broadband access networks for the next generation Internet. One XG-PON simulation module has been developed for NS-3 and source code is available here.
