I've revised the slides on Information & Network Security for Monday's lecture.

Monday/Wednesday's lectures (28 and 30/11/16) will have a course recap and an overview of the exam format.

Note that past exam papers (for CS5008) are in the Assessment page of the course Website. I've added last year's paper ("Winter 2015"). These should also serve a guide to the types of questions in the CS6509 class test.

Updated: 22/11/16:
The date for the class test for CS6509 (Data Science students) is Friday, 16th Dec. The room and time are yet to be confirmed. The test will be a written test, 45 minutes in duration, and will examine the material in Lectures 9 to 22.

Lab 5 is on Monday 14th Oct at 4pm. Note there is no new assignment. There will be a short tutorial following which you can then continue working on last week's lab assignment.

[Important]There will be a MCQ class test on Wednesday 19th Oct (in class). The test is on the material from the first 11 lectures. Note this serves as the mid-term test for CS6509 (worth 40 marks); it will also serve as one of your 5 assignments for _all_ students (4 marks). There will be 40 (short) questions. Choose the single best answer of 4 given. Yes, there is negative marking. The paper will be marked out of 40 (1 mark for correct answer, minus ¼ for incorrect answer).

[Important]Labs are starting Monday 10th Oct at 4pm. The due date for the first lab assignment is 17th Oct.

Note that for students taking this module as an elective for either MSc/PGDip in Data Science & Analytics (as CS6509) or BSc Math Science (as CS1069), the lectures and practical assignments are the same as for CS5008.
