Profile

Brief Biography

I graduated in Interior Design / Architecture from the University of Applied Sciences Wismar, Germany, in 2002. Subsequently I was engaged in building projects in Japan and Germany and submitted architectural competition entries.

With enthusiasm for controlling the behaviour of buildings and facilities I started my Computer Science studies in 2005 at the Christian Albrechts Universität Kiel, where I received my BSc (A-level) in 2008.

Since 2008 I am research fellow at Complex Systems Lab, University College Cork. My research is supervised by Prof. Gregory Provan and is funded by the Science Foundation Ireland as part of the ITOBO Strategic Research Cluster. The topic of my thesis is "Qualitative Abstractions for Diagnostics of Intelligent Buildings".
